MSLEEP
MSLEEP: a sleep and health data collection tool for the Hyundai Mobis Research Team.
A multi-module Android and WearOS tool application for the Hyundai Mobis Research Team, integrated with the Samsung Health SDK to collect and analyze users' sleep and health data. The wearable module gathers sensor and SDK data and transmits it to the mobile module via Bluetooth, where it is processed and stored locally for research and analysis.
Highlights
- Two modules: a WearOS app on Galaxy Watch that reads sensors and the Samsung Health SDK, and a phone app that receives, processes and stores the data.
- The watch streams heart rate, accelerometer, gyroscope, step and sleep data to the phone over Bluetooth at configurable rates.
- Phone app tabs: Sensor Data (live values per sensor), Health Data (Samsung Health) and Files (exported sessions).
- Pairing check shows whether the wearable is connected and whether the watch app is open before a session starts.
- Runs as a foreground service with notifications on both devices so collection continues in the background.
- Data is stored locally for the research team's sleep and health analysis.
