AI agent for Wonju Severance Hospital that answers post-surgery patients from official hospital protocols. I built the retrieval pipeline that grounds every answer in the protocol documents, the agent's tools, and the Android client.

Highlights

• AI chatbot for post-surgery patients that answers only within the hospital's official protocols and medical staff guidelines.
• Suggested questions on the home screen: breathing exercises, meals after surgery, when showering is allowed, what the procedure was.
• Step-by-step answers with reference images and video guides, for example for the breathing trainer.
• Self-diagnosis checklists: brain health, colorectal, liver, blood pressure and diabetes.
• BMI check and a daily medication calendar with intake confirmation.
• Chat history, notification settings and voice input.

What I built

• Retrieval pipeline: hospital protocol and staff guideline documents ingested, chunked and indexed, so the agent answers only from approved sources and declines anything outside them.
• Tool calling: protocol lookup, reference image and video guides, and the medication calendar the agent reads and updates.
• Android client: Kotlin and Jetpack Compose chat with suggested questions, step-by-step answers, checklists and voice input.
